In order to foster through Foster the Furbabies, you must be 20 years or older. Our fosters must be local to the Philly/South NJ area, as we need our vets to be easily accessible to you in case of an emergency. Having a license/your own car is preferred in case of emergency appointments. If unavailable, you must have access to another means of transportation.
Fostering through Foster the Furbabies will consist of opening your heart and your home to cats/kittens in need. We will work with you to match you with fostering situations that you are comfortable with and capable of handling. We will cover all costs of veterinary services provided by our partnered animal hospitals, including medications, spay/neuter surgeries, and any other medical costs. As a foster, you will be expected to cover all costs for the basics of care, including food, litter, toys, beds, playpens/dog crates, etc. If needed, we will provide these items to you when we have the funds/donations to do so. You will also be expected to drive to/from any veterinary appointments, whether it is for emergency appointments, check-ups, spay/neuters, or to pick up medicine/supplies.
